Alan Select Record Professional 1978

One might say, just an ordinary vintage bike in blue. Maybe, on the very first sight of one eyed sialor man. This is a genuine and very special racer for pro´s from late 70ies! Special about ALAN bikes ( ANodized ALuminium) is material and technology they use in glory days of cycling, when almost every bikes were made of steel. ALAN is well known as a very progressive brand which fame is derived from their very stiff and light aluminium frames (Alan patented technique of threaded tubing made from aerospace grade aluminum screwed into the lugs and glued, which was revolutionary at that time). Combined with anodized painting, they are not only eye catchers, but being made from aluminium means that these frames is perfectly preserved against any form of corrosion.

Over the years ALAN's expertise in frame building, and its reputation for quality led to ALAN frames being ridden to 20 World Cyclo cross Championships, 5 World Track Title Championships, numerous classics wins, as well as stage wins in the Tour de France, Giro D'Italia, and Vuelta De Espana Our blue Alan Select was made most probably for Austrian´s racers ( Select was at the time famous Austrian bicycle manufacturer), is very well preserved and even better equipped. What is really special among many Campy goodies is OMAS crankset with Gipiemme chainrings. Really rare and beautiful combo! Kindly see more in the spec list below the gallery.
